US Gambling Bill Tracker: Active & Pending USA Gambling Legislation For 2024
2018 was a historic year for the legalization of gambling across the United States thanks in large part to the repeal of PASPA and states now possessing the power to freely decide on whether to legalize betting on sports.
As a result, many of the state legislative bodies have begun the process of presenting gambling bills for sports betting in addition to other gambling-related issues such as online gambling, casino licensing, lotteries, and many others.
We’ve compiled legislative data from all 50 states plus Washington D.C. and have determined which jurisdictions currently have pending gambling legislation. In addition, legislature and governor contact information can be found in the description for each state. The tracker will be updated when any new gambling bills are introduced or when any current bills are passed anywhere in the country.

- Proposition 26 received an unfavorable vote from Californians on November 8, 2022. Because id did not receive a simple majority, in-person sports betting at tribal casinos will not become legal in CA via Prop 26.
- Proposition 27 also failed to attain a majority vote on November 8th, 2022, negative the possibility of mobile and online sports betting in California for the foreseeable future.
