Illinois Casinos Bounce Back With Highest Revenue Since 2014

It’s all smiles in Illinois after casino revenue reports have unveiled almost $100 million in taxes for 2023. 

The Illinois Gaming Board recently released its monthly revenue report, a compilation of each domestic casino’s receipts, admissions, and tax allocations of their casino gaming operations. Domestic casinos licensed in the state must submit their monthly report to the state’s gaming board for tax review. 

Increased Revenue

According to the new monthly revenue reports, Illinois has had a 4.5% increase in revenue since April 2022. Total gross revenues for April are $128 million, with a year-to-date AGR of $487 million. Regarding taxes, casinos generated $22.6 million for April 2023, and the state has collected just under $100 million in 2023. Rivers Casino is leading the charge with an AGR of $45.3 million.
