Legally Betting On College Football’s Rivalry Weekend Games

College football’s rivalry weekend begins on Thanksgiving Day at 7:30 p.m. with the annual Egg Bowl, a matchup of cross-state rivals Ole Miss and Mississippi State. The Rebels were actual contenders for the SEC title and the CFP until they were soundly defeated by the Georgia Bulldogs last weekend.

Mississippi Rebels (#12) at Mississippi State Bulldogs

  • Point Spread: Rebels -10.0, Bulldogs +10.0
  • Moneyline: Rebels -420, Bulldogs +315
  • Over/Under: 55.5

Online NCAAF sportsbooks are projecting a big win for the Rebels on Thanksgiving night, suggesting they’ll finish 9-2 and move on to a major bowl game.

Kentucky Wildcats at Louisville Cardinals (#10)

  • Point Spread: Kentucky +7.0, Louisville -7.0
  • Moneyline: Kentucky +225, Louisville -275
  • Over/Under: 50.5

Kicking off rivalry Saturday is a noon brawl going down in the Bluegrass State. The Louisville Cardinals are posisioned to play FSU in the ACC Championship Game whether regardless of the outcome of their game against Kentucky, but they need the win to keep their CFP hopes alive.

The Cardinals are favored by a touchdown at home, but never count out an SEC school, especially when facing a rival.

Ohio State Buckeyes (#2) vs. Michigan Wolverines (#3)

  • Point Spread: Ohio State +3.0, Michigan -3.0
  • Moneyline: Ohio State +140, Michigan -165
  • Over/Under: 45.5

Also kicking off at noon is the game with the most implications on the CFP National Championship hunt. The home team is favored to win by a field goal, suggesting that the Wolverines will win the Big Ten and enter the College Football Playoffs as potentially the number one seed.

Alabama Crimson Tide (#8) vs. Auburn Tigers

  • Point Spread: Alabama -14.0, Auburn +14.0
  • Moneyline: Alabama -675, Auburn +460
  • Over/Under: 48.5

While Alabama is superior to Auburn in 2023 and should easily win the game, throw the record books and prior performances out the window when these two teams meet up.  The game begins in Auburn at 3:30 p.m., and the Crimson Tide are favored to win by two touchdowns and move on to the SEC Championship Game.

Florida State Seminoles (#5) at Florida Gators

  • Point Spread: FSU +6.5, Florida +6.5
  • Moneyline: FSU -250, Florida +210
  • Over/Under: 50.0

At 7:00 p.m., Raymond James Stadium will host the Gators and Seminoles where the winners can lay claim to the unofficial state championship for 2023. FSU lost their starting quarterback, Jordan Travis, to a season ending injury last Saturday, and now must rely on Tate Rodemaker for the remainder of the season.

CFP betting sites aren’t giving the Noles much of a chance to win the National Championship now that Travis is out for the year, but they are favored to take care of business this Saturday in Gainesville.

Oregon State Beavers (#16) at Oregon Ducks (#6)

  • Point Spread: Oregon State +13.5, Oregon -13.5
  • Moneyline: Oregon State +410, Oregon -585
  • Over/Under: 62.5

Wrapping up the day with a 8:30 p.m. start time is a pairing of ranked teams, with the Ducks clinging to an outside shot at reaching the playoffs. Oregon is favored to win at home by just under two TDs.

If the Ducks win, they’ll secure their spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game, which could possibly be the final occurence in the history of the conference.
